650 over heating

This could be, a dangerous situation. More than likely the clicks on switch is bad. It should have failed to "safe", which means the flame should go out, after few minutes without a fan running. Need to have someone check the safety circuit for a bad temp fan control. You should have this repaired right away as it could be a real hazard if the burner continues and the fan is not operating...mel

The most common cause of this problem is that the drivers seat heater grid is open or burned out. That is based on 25 years as a Ford dealer technician.

The fan normally runs for a few minutes or so after the gas shuts off.

This removes the heat from the furnace and transfers it into the living space instead of just letting it possibly cause overheating of the furnace until it dissipates. If it is a fan that blows outside, that fan also needs to run for a few minutes to clear exhaust gasses from the furnace - to keep them from dissipating into your home.

Its probably the CDI box, they are notorious about different temperatures affecting them when they get old.

On the side of the heat exchanger is a fan Klixon that turns that motor on when the temp exceed 110f on the side of the heater. maybe that thang is going out or your fan motor needs oiling and is cutting out on overload. Next to the fan klixon is usually a limit. Both look the same. The fan klixon will have a marking stamped into the metal such as F-120 the limit will have L-240.

These bikes need the carbs ajdusted rather frequently, once they get out of adjustment the they juste don'e idle good. Also as old as this one is I can guess that you may have some air leaking around your some of the gaskets and this is why after it warms up it runs better, the gaskets get heated and the swell a little and then start sealing better. It would do you good this winter if you replaced all your intake and carb gaskets and get the carbs adjusted by a trained technicianan you will be ready to roll when summer comes around.

you need to test the fan if it is working or not or better replace the fan with a new one.there must be shortage of voltage coming from the fan thats why the unit turn itself off.over heating of components near the fan might be the cause because your fan is malfuntioning thats why you got a keep getting the message check the fan better replace it..

You need to have an AC tech come out and do some preliminary testing on this.

Your thermostat is calling for blower, your fan relay is stuck, or that model had a time delay blower solid state board on it which had the blower relay on it, and it could be bad. I would turn the power off to all of your system for a few minutes and see if this could make something happen.
