Two things will freeze a throttle >> a rusted cable and a stuck slide. The usual problem is a stuck slide. Disconnect the air cleaner and unbolt the carb. Pull it to one side and immerse it and the cable end in a small coffee can filled half full of denatured alcohol. Let it soak for 15 minutes. Now set the can aside. File down the end of an old toothbrush and put the new chisel end into the inlet side of the carb and under the bottom edge of the slide. Tap the end of the brush with a plastic hammer to pry the slide upward and break the slide free. The carb is going to need a through cleaning so remove the float bowl, air and throttle screws and slide assembly and let the parts soak in the alcohol along with the carb body. An hour soaking should be good. Now clean with spray carb cleaner, concentrating on the screw adjuster holes and drill circuits in the body of the carb. After reassembly, LIGHTLY seat the air and throttle screws then open up one half turns outward.

Drain the gas tank and clean it out. remove the petcock and clean it also. Install an inline fuel filter. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

I cleaned the carbs out the bike starts an as soon as i give it a bit of throttle the bikes stalls any suggestion

All questions need FULL 'year make model' as first 3 words. Plus there are 10,000 categories by 'make year model'.

It is either fuel supply, the main jet is blocked, or is the case of a vacuum diaphragm carb the diaphragm is split.

My bike acts like the battttery is dead when i go to strat it.check the battery and it reads 12volts.what can it be if my battery is good. please help

Amperage is what turns your starter, not voltage. U may have 12 volt indication but the battery may not really have a charge sufficient to start bike. Have battery checked at auto zone, etc - they have the gear with which to it and give you proper guidance on matter.

I rode the bike with oil light on then the bike died and won't start now

I will assume bike is a 2 stroke and say you seized the piston in the bore. when cooled it may still turn over but the damage has been done internally. It will probably require a rebore and oversize piston.

Rode home new 883;, next morning bike wouldnt start, battery weak. would not turn engine over. bike is 2009 with 40 miles, bought from dealer

how old is your battery? if it is 2 to 3 years old it may need to be
replaced . charge it up and see if it keeps charge, crank your bike
run it for a short time 4 or 5 min. shut it , and try to start it. if it
drags when cranking go buy new battery.

My bike bogs out when you jump on the throttle too fast. Also crackles and backfires. Bike has very few miles and only gets rode a couple times a year.

Have you added a exhaust system, air filter change? or any modification to the intakes or exhausts, controllers etc?
if not, accelerator pumps may be bad, floats are set wrong carbs not synched, CDI or Magneto Alternator etc issues> ballast resistors etc, cloggged jets or float needle sests may need a diagnostic by a pro.

Need 1996 yz125 engine torque specs

A service manual is a valuable tool with an aging bike. I suggest the dealer/mfr. or Clymer books. In the meantime, go to the library reference section...646 stacks should have what you need.
