No starter?
Got a volt/ ohm meter?
Check battery for 12.6 volts or better
check voltage coming to and leaving fuses ( oh yeah you checked all that, I guess you know you have spark cause it will pop start, just no electric starter, right?)
Check voltage at starter ( if 12 volts then replace starter)
check voltage at starter solonoid on battery side if no then check clutch switch, sidestand switch, key switch. If yes then check for 12 volts on starter side when clutch pulled in, key swithc on and starter button depressed. If no then check for voltage to spade on starter solonoid coming from key switch. If yes then replace starter solonoid. If no then check key switch and safety switches.

Usually there is a white light on instrument panel lower right side to start 99 Kia sportage. Now light is not coming on, engine turns over but won't start. What to do?

If the white light on the lower right side of the instrument panel that normally comes on when you turn the key to start the engine is not illuminating, there may be an issue with the starting system in your 1999 Kia Sportage. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is fully charged and its connections are clean and tight. If the battery is low or has a weak connection, it may not provide enough power to start the engine.
  2. Check the starter: If the battery is good, check the starter. Listen for a clicking sound when you turn the key to start the engine. If you hear a clicking sound, the starter may be faulty and need to be replaced.
  3. Check the ignition switch: If the battery and starter are good, the issue may be with the ignition switch. The ignition switch sends a signal to the starter to start the engine. If the switch is faulty, it may not send the signal, and the engine won't start.
  4. Check the fuel system: If the engine turns over but still won't start, check the fuel system. Make sure there is fuel in the tank and check the fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel injectors for any issues.
  5. Check the spark plugs: If the fuel system is good, check the spark plugs. Remove one spark plug and check its condition. If the spark plug is worn or damaged, it may need to be replaced.
If you're unable to diagnose and fix the issue on your own, it may be best to take your Kia Sportage to a qualified mechanic or dealership for a proper diagnosis and repair.

I changed alternater, now it cranks but won't start

NO CAR TOLD AT ALL, MAKER ,MODEL OR YEAR OR ENGINE.

STEP ONE IS DISCONNECT BATTERY NEG LUG
IF NOT YOU BLOW UP FUSES OR WORSE THOSE PESKY
100AMP+ FUSIBLE LINKS
your test proved spark in gone.
no the PCM cuts fuel fast if spark is detected dead.
to stop Crash and burn as seen on TV .

check all fuses, skip none
or check all fuses key on, for 12vdc both sides must.
scan the PCM for spark errors cranked.

for a fact I can run any gas engine with a dry gas tank using spray instant start in a can.
3 sec, spray gets 3 seconds run time and done so all you what
to hear the engine is not making crazy noises. (bend rods, valves, chains etc)
when that fails we test spark on all cylinders. not just one.
same way this test for 100 years now. using good new spark plug as the test device. grounded shell to engine block.
watch scotty, fuel can not burn lacking spark, (otto cycle tech)

Location of PGMFI relay 2008 honda accord

USA car? NO engines size told? gen 8 Accord but uses near 8 engines world wide, all very differnent.
USA engine two offered 2.4L i4 and 3.5L V6. the latter is belt drive cams.
NO engine told makes answers super hard, and country. (the VIN code tells what country it was sold to)
called a market .
..
find a new shop (ASE rated)
no communication.,,? or????what does this mean, scan tool dead.

ok all fuses are all tested good.

so use a scan tool and scan the CAR at the OBD2 DLC 16pin port near drivers knees
Using a scan tool buy, rent or get it done.

no spark can be lots things.\
lost spark on 1 spark plug or all best test all of them if all are dead that has deeper cause.
even bad Honda (no engine told cam belt.
bad CKP,
bad CMP
bad coil packs
scan it , as you crank for 5 full seconds, and release the key and see the DTC errors pop.

no country told at all so can't know what scantools will work.or lists of engines used.
no engine, no country not VIN told
hard case, nothing harder blind.

Mitsubishi Diamante 2001, Car Will Not Start, Attempts to Crank, But no Fire. Blowing Engine Control Fuses repeatedly.

For the sake of completeness, here's the full no-start Troubleshooting Guide for the 2001 6 cylinder 3.5L MFI Mitsu Diamante, but the problem with your car is line item #6 - the ECC (Engine Control Computer) is shorted/dead. Without an ECC, the Diamante will (a) get no spark, since the ignition timing comes from the computer, and (b) get no fuel, since the fuel injectors are operated by the computer as well. The engine will turn over, since running the starter motor is a non-computer controlled matter of a correctly functioning ignition switch, a charged battery, and good wiring to a functional starter motor/solenoid, but will never start.
The clue pointing directly to the ECC failure is the blowing ECC fuses. These fuses are blowing to tell you that the ECC is shorted dead.
Since the ECC is expensive, exhaustively check out all other possible sources of the problems, but with so few problems causing loww of both spark and fuel, combined with the blown ECC fuses pointing directly to the ECC, it seems that the ECC is the only culprit.
Here's a used 2001 Mitsu Diamante ECC at Ebay for $175.

I have a 1998 v-8 dodge dakota, i bought a new bateery for it checked the relays and fuses it will turn over it just wont fire do u think it is the starter or the fuel pump??

the easyest way to determine the cause is a process of elimination first if itturns over then your problem is not the starter or ignition... if you checked fuses and relays and theres none broken or missing then you keep going, are you getting spark to the spark plugs? you can check it with a spark tester from an auto parts store they are around 3 or 4 bucks if you test the spark and there is spark then the last option is fuel you can check the fuel pump by disconnecting your battery for a few minutes put the key in the ignition but do not turn then reconnect the battery listen to see if you hear any sounds like something turning on if you dont then move to the next step, while standing out side of the vehicle turn the key to the on position but do not turn over you should then hear then fuel pump engage and pressure up if you do then you may want to check your fuel filter and make sure its not clogged if you dont hear the pump start then you may have a faulty pump.. good luck to you and i hope this helps

It wont turn over battery OK what could be wrong? starter or fuel pump

If it will turn over, and not start, you are missing either fuel or spark...Those need to be checked. (No fuel doesn't automatically mean bad fuel pump, as injectors need to "fire" the fuel.)
If it won't turn over, or clicks, and your battery is good, it might be the starter motor.

My car wont start its a oldsmobile alero 1999

if car wont start.make sure your battery volts are 12.5.if not charge battery.or replace it if dont hold a charge.if battery is good engine wont turn over.make sure battery cables is clean and tight if all good no start .have starter and starter solenoid check.if battery and starter is good.check for fuel .has some one turn ignition to the on position.go to rear of car listen for fuel pump noise.if your hear fuel pump check ignition system for spark.go to auto parts place buy a spark tester.if you get no spark .check .ignition fuses and ignition module.if you hear no fuel pump.replace relay or fuse.if if fuse and relay good replace fuel pump.if every thing good .your car could have crank sensor problem. or your car is in theft deterrant mode.if so have your car towed in and scanned.
