.035" works well for most bikes etc.

See the www.ngksparkplugs.com site and enter your model info and the info is there.

Hope this helps.

Do you set the intake and exhaust valves at the same time when it is on TDC on my 1985 honda 350x three wheeler

It is a 4 valve, 4 stroke engine so only one of the strokes has both sets or valves closed. The is called the combustion stroke. With the spark plug removed you can turn the engine at the crankshaft bolt. Drop a pencil into the combustion chamber at at TDC you will see the pencil rise to its highest point before it starts to go back down. That is when you measure the valve clearance.

Fowel out spark plug in a 2 stroke dirt bike or four wheeler

if your ever in the mountian on your 2 stroke dirt bike or atv and you fowel a spark plug and you dont have an extra one just remove the plug and on the end of the plug that screws down in you motor and where you set the gap is glass brake the glass and the plug will be like new just remember to buy a new plug before the next time you ride because now the spark plug is shooting striaght fire that will eventually burn up your piston

Yamaha timberwolf 4x4 carberator issues

Hi,

Firstly, if you are not a mechanical person you should never buy a vehicle that does not run.
However, here are some basic tests.
1. Connect a good battery.
2. Remove the spark plug.
3. Turn the motor using the starter motor or kick starter.
4. check for spark by inserting a new plug into the plug cap. (make sure the plug is grounded).

If the motor turns freely and there is spark, chances are good that the motor will run. This does not mean that the motor is in a good condition. Only with the motor running will you be able to know for sure.

You will now have to source a carb and fit it to the 4 wheeler.
Fitting the carb is not too difficult. Check that the intake manifold is not perished or torn, and remember to use the airfilter.

Enjoy the ride !
