Check your key it has a chip in side it and it may be faulty try your spear and i know it sounds silly but just make sure your kill switch is set to run check the hiss fuse under the seat also swap your fuel pump relay with the fan one the fuel pump relay has brown wires going to it and the fan has black and blue if you have an alarm on it it will be worth checking that make sure that the fuel pump is pluged in under the tank take a look at the hiss light does it go out wen the bike is switched on if it stays on you have a HISS problem any problems let me know and i will do my best to help

Hi there i have replaced my whole ignition barrel and have 2 new keys, how do i reset the ecu to take the new key codes withought having the original key and barrel??

  • Anonymous Nov 20, 2012

you can't ..you need to replace ecu with matched keys then replace the transponders of your current key with the matched blanks..or send ecu to get hacked (physically) and reprogrammed to new keys...or replace ecu with U.S. used ecu (no HISS) ..it's a PITA

2007 honda cbr 1000rr no power to fuel pump

then it has to be one of two things only....a blown fuse or a broken wiring.
or if you dumped the bike you might have tripped the bank/tilt sensor.
i believe to reset it turn key on and cycle kill switch the turn key off then try to start..im not to sure as hoe to reset it but you could always try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes that might reset it.

2005 cbr 1000rr won't fire, just turns and turns, installed new battery, just bled and fixed my clutch line, HESS light does go out, help me out please

check fuel pump fuse if that's o.k. turn key on and feel the pump or listen to see if its priming. if the pump is doing its job then you have a spark issue...pull out one of your plugs and hang it so it touches a bolt or part of the frame and see when you start it that it has a nice big blue spark.if this doesn't work then check the kill switch circuitry.. the tilt switch could have been tripped when fixing you clutch line. i heard that you can reset it by cycling the kill switch, turn key on cycle switch, then try again. The tilt sensor im not sure exactly but may be located between your headlites or under the front fairing. The tilt switch kills power to the injector banks. Hope this info helps.

My 2007 cbr 1000rr wont start it just winds over

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, check would be to determine if the fuel pump is priming.

Offhand, if the fuel pump is not working at ignition ON, possibilities are:
  • wiring, fuse, connector (least likely);
  • fuel pump, fuel relay (likely); or
  • bank angle sensor (most likely).

On the other hand, if the pump is working, then check for the absence / presence of spark at the plugs.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Bike wont Start.

You can accidentally UNPLUG the tip sensor if you remove/jar the front fairing. Verify that it is plugged in. If you uninstalled the tip sensor, make sure it is installed in the correct position. Here's the service manual next steps after that check: First thing the SM states when you turn the key and get no fuel pump "noise" is to inspect the fuel pump by measuring the voltage between the terminals. If there is battery voltage, check the main fuse (20A), sub fuse (10A), engine stop switch, fuel cutoff relay (relay box under left middle cowl), engine stop relay, bank angle sensor, and finally, ECM.
