On the 80 inch evolution engine, the heads torque in three steps and in a certain pattern. There are four studs with special "nuts" on them and the torque in a circular pattern in a certain numerical order.

They also torque in three steps. The first step is torqed to 84-108 inch pounds. The second step brings the torque up to 12-14 foot pounds. Then you mark each "nut" and tighten them 1/4 turn more.

I would imagine that the twin cam is about the same way but I would look a little on the internet to see what I could find. Go here for your information.

http://www.torkspec.com/torkspecme.aspx?KI=12-4.3L-262ci-V6 Try this link out. It has various torque specs listed for the 4.3. Be sure to check the years to ensure it is the proper torque spec for your vehicle. Also this may not have all the torque specs you asked for, but I believe it has most of them.

Tightening head

New Headbolts are recommended

Long bolts are torqued to 46'lbs + 90 degrees.

Short bolts are torqued 43'lbs + 90 degrees.

Start in the center, and work to the edges, torquing the bolts in two stages.

Rockers are torqued to 22'lbs.
