That engine uses automatic cam chain adjusters. There is no manual over-ride or adjustment. If the cam chain is loose, you need to replace the adjuster at the least and possibly the cam chain and guides.

Is it neccessary to restrict 650 dragstar to 25kw

Orig power is 40 HP (29.2Kw) If that is required, it can be done by restricting top speed, exhaust pipe and/or chokeing the carb abilities but will take the fun out of riding big bikes..

02 Yamaha xvs 650 dragstar classic that misfires when it warms up

First I would change all the spark plugs, and if that didn't make a difference then it sounds like the coil(s) are warming up and breaking down........when it starts to skip take a good pair of pliers with good rubber on them and pull each spark plug wire, when you get to the one that the running doesn't change then I would replace that particular coil

Can't find oil filter on 2005 650 XVS Dragstar Classic?

on right crankcase by brake pedal you will find a round cover with 3 bolts in it, remove this and you will find some more bolts to remove the second casing that holds the oil filter, be careful not to over tighten the bolts when putting back, i did and stripped the thread, complete change takes about 15 mins
