Starting fault turn ignition on went to start bike, pressed starter button and nothing ignition lights do not even fade there is nothing happening, ignition lights on but wont turn over, Zzr1100 1995, i have checked starter button on the r/h switches, and also the kill switch, they are ok, checked all fuses all ok, if i put a screwdriver across starter solonoid she starts,but wont start of the button, there is also a fuse at the side of the solonoid which has 3 wires going into it i have checked the fuse thats ok, anybody any ideas please, also when it started this fault it started to start on cold, then after it warmed it wouldnt start, lights on when starting nothing not even lights dimming, now all that happens is i put the ignition on and press the starter and nothing happens, lights dont even dim or flicker when starter button pressed,

There is also a safety switch on the clutch lever that could give the same symptoms.
Another thing to check is the fuse block that has a starter relay built in (hidden) above the fuse compartment. My D5 has the same symptoms and this is the problem. If I keep the starter button depressed for some seconds the relay operates and bike starts.

There are two safety switches that you may need to test. 1) Neutral safety switch- this switch is what tells the bike that it's in neutral and allows the starter to engage. 2) Kickstand safety switch- this switch will not allow the bike to run in gear if the kickstand is down. My initial guess is the neutral safety switch. If the neutral safety switch is bad, then you will not be able to start the bike with the kickstand down because the bike thinks that it's in gear (even if in neutral). This also may explain why the initial intermitent problem of not starting when warm since the metal contacts will expand and possibly not make contact when warmed up. Are you trying to start the bike with the kickstand up or down? If it were the kickstand safety switch, the bike would probably start okay and then die when you put it in gear.
