Check all conections at the battery - starter silanoid - and starter. Also check all the fuses.

Vulcan 800 wont start when i press the ignition switch, when give a boost it starts.

Does it do anything when you turn the ignition switch? Perhaps the contacts inside aren't touching or are corroded? Let me know, good luck!

Have spark and getting fuel won't start 2002

Have you checked all your safety switches? Kill switch, kickstand switch, neutral switch? What do the plugs look like---are they wet and smell like gas? Are you getting a nice blue spark across the electrode? Troubleshoot the basic stuff first to eliminate those possibilites.

When I release the clutch starting out it stalls in 1st gear

check your side stand safety switch. if the kick stand is down the engine will shut off. if this switch is stuck then the bike thinks the kick stand is down. clean out the switch.

My 1995 Vulcan 88 has a new battery but makes a clicking noise when trying to start. I noticed the starts seeming more sluggish and got a new battery. Now it won't even turn over.

This sounds like your starter motor has packed up, the clicking sound you hear is the celinoid kicking in, but the starter is not turning, try replacing the starter motor
