When i lean my 2004 650 Vstar to the left it idles roughly, but when I lean it to the right it run perfect?

You need the carb float bowls cleaned out. If water comes out, you will also need to drain the gas tank completely. If that doesn't fix it, you have a punctured carb float or the height is wrong.

Vstar650 carbs are fitted at an angle to the right.. when you leave your bike idle on the kick stand with a small amount of feul it sloshes to the right an starves the carbs

Vibrating bike

if the plug is white you are running lean.
plug should be tan to medium brown.
lean will cause rough idle, and popping on deceleration.
resolve = clean idle jet, circuit, and set mixture screw properly.
A job like this should really be left to a professional on that bike.

Changing harmonic balancer

Nope! Why don't you give the mechanic a tune to see if it's running rough because of lean mixture, fail ignition coils, worn spark plugs....could be one of those things. Because when yours is rough at idle, it means the mixture is not right, more likely be lean or one or more cylinders not igniting properly. Got nothing to do with harmonic balancer. But do check motor mount for cracks, but faulty mounts only give you excessive movement that you can really feel it KICKS when you change from P - R - D.

I have a carbureted 86 22r pickup. It runs perfect when cold. As soon as the choke pulls off the idle is rough. I have already ruled out the fuel shut off solenoid. It is clean and operates perfectly....

It could be that you have to adjust the idle mixture screw a little . It may be set too lean or too rich which gives what you describe When the engine is at operating temperature turn the screw in or out a bit until the motor runs better. Adjust then until it starts to run rough then screw it the other way until it starts to run rough again. Correct mixture will be in the middle of those points.

My Chevy 2500, 2001 runs rough when it cold outside

It can be issue with low fuel pressure,the fuel pump is getting old both needs to be checked.Also get the IAC valve checked.

94 camry. 2.2 fed emissions. Rough idle. runs great any rpm off idle. have checked timing. vacuum leaks, plugs, spark, removed throttle body and iac and cleaned. removed egr. plugged intake. all with no...

Before we both knock ourselves out with fuel injector testing. Hook up a Digital voltmeter (DVM) to upstream O2 sensor and lets see how she is burning. Remember positive lead of DVM to signal wire and negative lead to ground. Anything above 550 mV is rich anything below 350mV is lean. Be mindful that an exhaust leak the size of a pin hole in this region can cause a rough idle. A healthy reading should bounce between 550mV and 350 mV.
Next to test is O2 is working block off air in take making mixture rich and see what O2 says about it . Then pull off a vacuum hose (a lean condition) and see if DVM drops to 200to 300mV's.
