Does my 2006 Harley Davidson Vrscd have a standard or automatic transmission @
Hi, Jeffrey it has a standard, for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs -fluid capacities and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can not find the best tool you ever bought for your Harley, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

SOURCE: How much oil goes in the engine and transmission
Usually the oil tanks hold three quarts of oil and the transmission holds 20-24 ounces. Check the engine oil with the bike on the stand. The dip stick has two marks on it. The upper mark is "Full Hot" and the lower mark is "Full Cold". Maintain the oil level between these two marks. Do not overfill.
The transmission has also has a dipstick to check the level with. It's a plug that takes a 3/8" hex key to remove. Check the level with the bike standing straight up. Level should be between the end of the dipstick and the mark.
Good Luck
Steve
