Have you checked your battery voltage at the starter while the problem is happening? That will tell you if it is a wiring problem or a starter problem. If the voltage is low sometimes (and you know your battery is good and securely connected) then you have a wiring problem, broken or shorting somewhere. If the voltage is steady while the problem happens your starter could be failing.

If you have recently performed some maintenance on the motorcycle, the timing could be off or your throttle bodies may not be all the way back into their rubber boots. Either of those things should also cause poor running and backfiring.

Bike wont start, something with the Battery circuit or battery, we can push start the bike so the bike does run, I charged the battery and had the battery tested and it tests out fine, when I put in bike...

From your description, it sounds like a bad starter motor. That is provided all of the cables going from battery to relay, and relay to starter are not corroded or have poor connections. The relay is a weak point, so it may be damaged as well if the starter has been pulling too many amps.

Have a 1994 suzuki dr 125 se wont start . Just bought it and got it out of the shop drove it home 50 miles and it wont start . Battery is strong . Do these bikes have kick stand kill switch ? Have...

Look under bike on kickstand. If there is a switch it will be right on the bracket which holds kickstand to bike.unplug wire and clean, somtimes is just dirt on contacts that causes the switch not to make up.use some wd 40 to clean and if there is any water in switch this will displace water and make switch operational.Worst case senario jump out switch and see if bike starts,If so replace switch and you good to go Good Luck.

Good battery ''clean'' good starter, new selunoid.?starts most times but somtimes wont.struggles"electricly" but starts starts

You need to remove the starter and install a new set of brushes,do it soon because it will let you down when the final positive brush ceases to touch the armurature.

Have an 2000 kawasaki zx750 that wont start only the neutral light and oil light comes on. Also the headlights wont come on. the bike turns over when i disconnect the fuel pump relay but when i reconnect...

Is the battery dead or dying?

My thought is your battery is 99% dead. When you disconnect the load you descrive, there is 1% of the battery trying to do what you want.

Remove the battery from the bike and have it tested at a auto parts or motorcycle parts place. If you can do a hydro test on it, you can do that test. A good reading ia 1200. Put a small charger on it if you like. Im guessing it is not worth charging but try just the same. That way, when you plunk your hard earned $ down for a new battery, you will not feel bad.

Let me know what happens

thanks

Bke wont start

Hi there, try this sometimes the stand switch can make the bike not work if has got rusted at the back.and check or replace the coil., then check if you are getting a spark from the plug by putting the spark plug on top of the head. The next thing is if the bike turns over but not fire up, you need to strip down carb and clean jets, also check petrol value under the tank If you have a book it will go through this step by step. good luck.
