Too easy i did it myself
First disconnect battery. The regulator is under left side fairing unplug the cable unscrew bolts replace with new regulator plug in wires
Altenator remove all small screws remove cover oil will come out unscrew alternator unplug wire and remove, replace with new alternator bolt in same order

Where is the regulator / rectifier located on my 2004 Fireblade 1000RR
The regulator/rectifier is on the left side of the bike. Should be near the battery under the seat cowl.

I need help with my 2004 cbr 1000 rr after changing the battery it will not start
if you look at the starter solenoid you will find a small cable ,if you follow this you will fond the other end wich should be connected to the pos side of the battery hope this helps ian
