THEY MAKE A CARB TOP KIT THAT ELIMINATES THOSE CRAPPY OVERIDES,1 KIT COMES WITH A TWIST THROTTLE OR LEAVE THE THUMB THROTTLE EITHER WAY YOU GET A NEW CARB TOP,THROTTLE CABLE BUT THEN YOU NEED TO GET THE IDLE SCREW KIT FOR IT,WHITCH COMES WITH A IDLE SCREW AND A TAP AND DIRECTIONS.YOU NEED TO DRILL ,THEN TAP ON SIDE OF CARB ,CLEAN CARB OUT INSTALL YOU CARB SLIDE TILL TOUCHES BOTTOM THEN TURN SCREW IN TILL U JUST SEE THROTTLE BODY MOVE AND YOUR IDLE SHOULD BE CLOSE.MEANWHILE U MAY WANT TO PULL YOUR PLUG AND CHECK FOR SPARK BECAUSE WHEN YOU ELIMINATE THE OVERRIDE SYSTEM YOU MAY HAVE TO CACEL OUT THOSE WIRES IF SO THE MAIN HARNESS THAT HAS THOSE WIRES IN IT YOU JUST CRIMP ON 1 OF THOSE BLUE **** SPLICES AND IT DOES A NICE CLEAN JOB AND YOUR CARB IS EASIER TO SERVICE JETTING WISE IF YOU EVER DO ANY PERFORMANCE UPGRADES DOWN THE ROAD,THATS ALOT OF TYPING HOPE THIS HELPS AND FOR THE 100 TO 120 DOLLARS IN PARTS IT IS WELL WORTH IT,BRAND NAME IS MOTION PRO
Make sure you have no vacuum leaks and the idle screw is turn up. Then adjust the a/f ratio screw to highest idle, turn down the idle screw and repeat until a/f screw makes no change. At that point you set your idle speed.
Drain the carburetor. There should be a screw on the lower side of the carb float bowl. Remove the screw then replace it after the fuel drains. Turn the gas back on and wait a minute for the carb to fill with gas. Install new stock spark plugs. If the bike doesn't start and run properly then shut off the gas and remove the carburetor from the engine.
Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. This process should get you back on the road. Please rate this solution. Thanks!
i can't seem to figure out why my 2004 blaster 200 won't idle properly. i cleaned the carb and replaced the spark plug. it revs fine but when it goes down to idle it just dies. any help?
Hi, If it starts on ether, then the plug is probably not too bad, spray your premix in instead and if fires OK then your carb is clogged, you can start with the float valve, open the drain screw on the float bowl and make sure it is filling, if it is, then its probably the jets or vanes are lacquered from sitting and they simply must be cleaned. Air pressure and a carb solvent works good when cleaning but other than that no magic. Good Luck, this should Fixya!
remove gas line from carb and turn on gas if no gas tank and line need cleaning. if there is gas need to remove carb and clean jets. before you remove it seal off the back of carb with hand and have someone to kick it over a few times if its a small clogg this just might remove it GOOD LUCK
