Clearance issues aside, you need the proper mounts. If they make them, they will work, aside from tank clearance issues. If they don't make the proper kit, just don't do it. Handlebars are not something to experiment with when you're traveling down the highway at 60+ mph. Ever had a simple grip come off? Not fun, trust me.

SOURCE: replace handle bars on a 2006 HarleyDavidson RoadKing

I added a 2 inch riser to my dyna and didnt have to replace any cables, so - to answer your question, not always. There is plenty of wiggle room, however, if there is gonna be more difference that about 2 inches, replacement will be required. ADJUSTMENT WILL DEFINITELY be needed. And no, its not difficult, when u have the bars off, its nearly 1/2 done anyway

I have a 1999 ducati monster and for some reason I keep blowing fuses everytime I try to start it.

It must have a shorted wire somewhere, check which fuses it is blowing and start disconnecting, remove the tank and check all the wire harness for damage, also near the steering head where the wires move. occasionally the handle bar switch blocks can short inside.

Need to bleed my clutch on 1998 ducati monster 900. any advice?

Patience young Skywalker. It took me almost 3 hours to get a good clean bleed on mine. I suggest this method. Get a friend. One person goes down to the clutch bleed screw, the other stays on the clutch handle. Crack open the clutch bleed screw, THEN depress the handle slowly, and before the handle bottoms out tighten the bleed screw. Do this for 2 or 3 full resevoirs, and whatever you do, DO NOT let the resevoir go enpty. You MUST install and tighten the cap each time you fill fluid. It will not bleed without the cover in place. After you get a "pedal", pull the handle all the way to the stop, then release the bleed screw untill clear.
