My marauder 125 wouldn't start, i gently tapped the casing with a wee hammer, it started, what's the problem?
Sounds like the brushes are sticking. May be time to remove the starter disassemble and clean it up and replace a set of new brushes. Clean computator real well and remove residue left behind in the groves. Use a green pot scrubber to finalize the cleaning of the brass computations.

Check the wiring for a loose connector. Check grounding. The click is most likely the solenoid that is supposed to connect the high amperage to the starter motor.
Possibly:
Starter motor needs replaced
Wiring batt> starter came apart/ worn through insul.
so electricity not getting to starter.
Engine locked up - starter can't turn it (bad news)
Call the dealer or mfr about a service manual, or look up clymer books (publications?). Meantime, goto library reference section 646

First check if the current is coming from ignition coil....
If YES ... then the spark plug is burnt(shorted) Get new plugs.
If NO... then there could be a problem with the ignition coil itself Or the coil in the dynamo is burnt.... Regards
