Can you hear the fuel pump 'prime' when you first turn on ignition? You should hear the pump run (whine) for 3 secs or so after key first on.

The '98 has a notorious problem associated with the 'ground block' which is a common node point for all the return wires for the battery -ve.
There is a replacement/upgrade for this part which includes a new block and additional wire back to the battery -ve terminal

The part number you need is Triumph part number T2505055 and is under $10. Good idea to replace this whether the primary cause of your problem or not (good likelihood it is however)

I had that happen on my dodge daytona and couldn't figure out what it was until I started checking fusable links, one was broke and we fixed it and the car started right up.

Lent my 2011 triumph daytona 675r to a friend and he ran the bike out of fuel and now the bike won't start. The bike will turn over fine and sometimes even sputter but won't accually fire up....

it sounds like some dirt has got into the injectors. these will need to be cleaned out. if you can keep trying it and give it some high revs this may run it through. hope this helps.

1998 Triumph Daytona T595,Batt died now Check Engine is on.

ok, first off is that when you "jump a bike" dont jump by car with engine running this can fry major componets second you can try the reboot but I do think you damaged one of the parts
