Shaking and vibration is normal for most Harleys, it's caused by the angle of the twins, it's normal for mostly all Harley motorcycles.

Harley engineering has not improved, they do not have a real fix just a bunch of part replacers. I'm getting off my Harley and on to an Indian.

Oh,, and did I mention these parts were all replaced by competent Qualified Harley Davidson Mechanics at Dealers. At such high cost they can't fix squat

My 2007 Road King is a piece of Poor Engineering. New engine mount, still vibrates, new compensator, still vibrates excessively, new clutch, new starter drive and ....you guessed it vibrates worse now. I test road two Indians last week, sick of antique engineering designed to fail and burden owners with repairs. 4 friends have switched to Yamaha and rode over 40000 mles without any repairs...haven't seen a harley do that.

My 2006 road king Harley won't start after riding over a curb

You didn't describe the "click"

A series of rapid clicks means a low battery, or a bad (usually ground) connection, like if you crunched/abraded a wire along the lower frame when you drive over a curb.

A single, loud click indicates its a bad starter relay, about a $12 part:

I Have 2006 RoadKIng and the engine shakes very rough. it seems to surge also it backfires alot. what can it be

unfortunately these things can be a result of several problems , some things to check
excessive engine vibration....rear fork pivot shaft nuts loose, front engine mount bolts loose, engine to transmission mounting bolts loose, cracked or broken frame
surging and backfiring....bad spark plugs or cables, battery going bad, cables to battery or coil damaged or loose, intermittent short circuit due to damaged wire insulation, water or dirt in the fuel system or filter, fuel vent system plugged or fouled fuel injectors.
If you haven't had it fully serviced in a while I would suggest you take it to a dealer for one as some of the above problems require specialized equipment

Can I put factory 2008 Road King spoked wheels on a 2006 Road King?

You will have to measure your tire width and the frame width for the rear tire as Harley went to a wider rear in 2007

2006 Road King

Harleys are known for their shaking but when they get really bad I usually start looking for broken motor mounts. I suspect you either have a lose one or broken. The rubber wears out and then they get obnoxious.
