- this problem might be a worn variator-belt/rollers - the Vespa technology requires a variator-belt service every 10'000miles
- contrary to the belief that the carburetor causes such trouble it is a common issue with Vespa engines that people are not doing the replacement of the variator belt in due time...
- mine did the same - but also after it was parked there was often a sound coming from the engine for some minutes. There must be some air bubbles in the water-cooling system which was not drained properly at the factory...
- don't worry - after about a year it will stop making such silly noises..
Contact a Vespa dealer. You are the end user and the bike came from a dealer. The dealer is Vespa's actual customer. The dealer has the numbers to contact Vespa. Make them earn the profit they charge when the bike was purchased. Below is Vespa's customer service number. I need to warn you, using the terms "customer service" and "Vespa" together are generally considered oxymoron's. Please rate my answer. Thanks.
I'm not familiar with ET2s but I had a similar problem with a Vespa 100 years ago. After hours of messing about i discovered a bolt had fallen and blocked one of the air inlets on the bottom of the frame. Was fine when i kicked it but when my bum was on the saddle it kinda 'sealed' around the tank area and starved the engine of air. As i say, i don't know about new ET2s but sounds kinda similar symptoms.
According to the website www.scooterhelp.com the numbers you give don't make any sense. I'd look at the site to get some help with where the frame number is. I've found the site to be very helpful with some of my vintage vespa questions. Good luck
