I have a kymco agility 50, purchased 7 months ago at 5000km. When I press the red switch in while holding the break she doesn’t start, I keep trying and after 10 goes roughly it starts. When I push the button in very hard it turns over constantly (brumbrumbrumb sound) but doesn’t start. What could be wrong with her? There’s been terrential rain here in cairns Australia (the tropics) so I’m thinking maybe rain got into the start switch and it has rusted. Once she starts she runs perfectly. Thank you for any help.

SOURCE: 2002 Dodge Caravan is very hard to start

this sounds like the fuel pressure check valve in the fuel pump has failed, have a fuel pressure leak-down test run, the system should hold pressure noted at engine shutdown for 24 hours with o more than 5 PSI drop, if it leaks down u get air in the system and the symptom's u have described.

SOURCE: epson rx560 general error

Hi,

Unfortunately a "general error" is different from the commonly assumed "service required" error.

Usually a general error comes about because of something a bit more serious than a paper jam which stops the printhead from moving around as it should, cartridge chips not reading properly, etc...

It's worth trying the following and seeing if any of them help

  • Open the printer lid and using a flashlight/torch, carefully examine the area that the printhead travels along to see if there's any foreign objects, ink soiled paper, etc.. that might be getting in the way.
  • Try getting the printhead off the parking area and check this for any parts of the cleaning station that may have dislodged or other foreign objects that do not belong
  • Remove all the cartridges, clean the chip contacts carefully with a cotton bud and check the contact wires inside the cartridge holder area for any damage.
Beyond that it's a case of looking for clues that might indicate where the problem lies.. ie: if the printhead stops in a particular place, screeching noises, etc...

Hope some of that helps narrow it down some.

SOURCE: Gen starts and runs with rocker start button pushed in..stops....

Cleaning the brushes is used to address an AC output problem. If the generator would run for a few seconds after letting go of the button, then this might apply.

But, since yours is dying as soon as you let go of the button, that tells me that you are probably looking at a low oil condition, or a sensor / sending unit failure for oil level.

Without spec number, hard to remember if the sending unit is for low oil pressure, or low oil level. Either way, the ignition is being grounded. First, double check your oil level, make sure generator is reasonably level. If still not resolved, then locate the sending unit, and remove the wire that is on the end of it. There should be a connector either a few inches from the sending unit, or a few inches from the control board (coming from big white plug). Disconnect at either place. Try starting again. If it starts this time, double check oil levels. If those are fine, then sending unit has failed, or oil pump (if pressure unit) has failed. In either case, don't run for very long until sending unit is replaced, just in case.

SOURCE: I have a kymco agility 50 and it won't start. It has no power what so ever, the starter won't turn over and the break light won't light when I pull the break. I checked the kill switch.

Check with a multi tester for voltage coming through the ignition switch lead wires + to switch wire - to ground you shoul get 12volt or higher, with the switch off you should have one live (feed from battery ), on you should have 2 or 3 in and out feed (possibly 2 out one for ignition one for light curuit), or disconnect the switch and check for continuity (12v battery wire and a bulb if you dont have a multi tester between each pin on the switch plug when turned on you should get a curcuit when on.

How do I fix an Kymco Agility 50 motor scooter that doesn't start?

Question edited for clarity, changed 'carbonator', (a thing that puts bubbles in soda) to a carburetor (a device that atomises gasoline).

The new battery is fine, in fact 6 amps is better. It has more staying power and will start the bike easier in cold weather. It is better for your lighting as well. The problem is likely to be that your battery is not fully charged when you got it. Put it on a 2 amp battery charger for 8 hours.

These two adverts have 4 amp and 7 amp as suitable.

Lost keys & I need to remove ignition switch on Kymco agility50 scooter 2007

oh my freaking god, no one is of help here.

fellow kymco owner here, id start off by looking for a locksmith to make up a key for you. they typically just break into the key lock, pull out the cylinder, and use the pins to aid in cutting a key. as soon as that is done, they will have a key done for you without destroying your locks. then as soon as your done, ask them to make 2 extra copies of your key and keep them spare somewhere. i keep one in my wallet, but the key head cut down smaller, and the other at home.

i hope this answers your question.

My kymco agility 50 will not turn to ignition. The key will turn to on but gets stuck. it has not been started in a few months.

try some WD-40 not a lot just a squirt inside let it sit for awhile and then slowly with some pressure try to get it worked in..try a little more lube if that doesnt work your gonna need to take it off and take it to a locksmith they might be able to repair it!
