SOURCE: ELECTRICAL PROBLEM

The prob seems like you have connected the power to your stero from the wrong place. You cut into live a wire for the power, this should be connected at the ACC on your fuse panel. Also make sure you stero has a good ground! Frankster016

SOURCE: Engine runs rough and istrument Gages not working

It sounds like you need to inspect the wiring harness and look for broken wires and any wires that are hanging they may not be connected, the black exhaust is caused by a choke plate that is not opening on the carb the electric choke is not getting any voltage through the wire or the choke plate is out of adjustment it should be wide open after 5 minutes of running, check the fuses to be sure there is no blown fuses and check the wire that goes to the carb. to ensure it has 12 volts.

Kymco midi xls juddering after dropping battery gauge says plenty of charge then suddenly stopped and green light flashed twice

Quite a common problem with that scooter , check the brake after about 10 minutes use , carefully place your hand around the brake but beware : it can get hot , and if that the case it's not releasing fully etc, fiction is causing the brake to heat up, don't get me wrong, it will get warm but not hot to touch ..

Brushes again need to be checked , do they come out without resistance, if no , they appear to drag then you got carbon built up or problem brushes.. clean or replace.. and you need to careful remove the carbon otherwise it create a problem with new brushes, one way is to carefully places a small screwdriver and run it down the corners of the brush holder but be careful the commutator surface is soft so can scratch easily..

Rob

Engine hot, oil dip stick too hot to touch gages all fine no problems with it just got raditor flushed thought that was the problem

Your dipstick is supposed to be hot. The oil runs over the hot mechanisms and back into the pan and cooler oil cycles through again. The warmer your engine the better it will run. ( don't want it to overheat though) my car runs about halfway between the middle and three fourths mark on the thermostat. And it runs great. Hope this helps!:)

Bucking, stalling, instrument cluster goes haywire.

Gas gague not working it's a common problem with the fuel sending units. Intake leaking coolant also a problem sometimes runs into engine causing it to run erratic. The distributor gear wears and cause misfires rough running. EGR getting stuck open cause of carbon makes the vehicle run rough at idle I hope this helps I know it a lot to look at but...

I have a 1996 monte carlo it runs hot on the gage has no heat but never smells hot or anything. Gage will peg out and kick hot light on then come ack down and keeps doing that. Any solutions?

No heat sounds like the heater core isn't circulating. Dropping down, sounds like the thermostat is sticking for a while than working. That can be checked by feeling the hose when the temp is up. If it is hard at the hose where the flow goes in; I would consider changing the thermostat. It can be a bad circulation problem killing the themostat though.
