You have do dissasamble it first, it is actualy made of 2 pieces, hold together by screws.
You put the big piece into place first, then the smaller one, than the screws.

!995-2000 are the small frame in 2001 the steering has gone to rack and pinion the early frames are still gear box steering 1994 and earlier (1989) are torsion suspension but narrow frame rails and 2wd and 4wd are different
Hi there. To upgrade your old rear shock is a good idea, however very expensive. Makers like Koni, and Ohlins, will have a rear shock to fit your bike, but unless your willing to part with about $1000, then considermy second solution. Have your old rear shock re built, or re furbished, by a qualified suspension mechanic, for a fraction of the cost. It is also possible to customise, and taylor your old shocky to suit you. Example,shorten the spring?, add a spacer to stiffen it up a bit, less oil, or more oil? I would look into a rebuild first, unless, like i say, you are prepared to spend about $1000 plus. Anything you choose, will definately enhance your bike. Good luck
well 87-91 are the same body style,but when you buy one the place should tell you which years will fit,you may be suprised-they could be exact from 82-96,Ford kept using some parts on later models that were the same
They are called clip-ons, and there is a company called LSL that makes conversions to handlebars and riser kits. i know StreetfightersByDesign is a dealer, but you can check on Google by searching "LSL handlebar"to find other sites. One word, though, i don't think they are cheap.
To make this adjustment you have to loosen the 3 bolts that hold the windshield frame to the dash and the bolt that allows for adjustment in the rollbar extensions. This will allow you to push the windshield forward or backward to close the gap. then tighten everything back up!

ECU and harness for pretty much the same price. I'm curious to know if that engine will fit in the chassis.
The different shape of the heads fitting in the frame under the airbox and the throttle bodies to airbox. From my understanding the engine mounting should be the same.It will not fit but not because of the enginemounting points, it´s because of the frame. You need a 748R or 998/996R frame to make the Testa engine fit. The problem is the cross-brace framing just behind the airbox. It´s going to be in the way.
In the raceteam I´m apart off, we did a 999s engine transplant into our 748R frame and it was easy enough. We did in in a couple of days work, including using the new TB´s and building our own airbox that uses the 999 bottom part and a 748R upperpart.
