2000 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic main fuse/circuit breaker location

Where are the circuit breaker and main fuse located on a 2000 Heritage Softail Classic, I found the fuse box under the seat and all that's in there is starter relay and all the 15 amp fuses. Can someone please help? I went to start the bike and it cranked over 1 time and I lost all electric power to everything, cleaned battery terminals checked fuses and cleaned connectors on the ignition switch and still no luck, any answers are appreciated!!!

It's located behind breaker box you have to lay on ground and their are 2 10 mm bolts that hold on black fender in front of rear tire remove those and lift up the top just hooks on and slide all the way down following contour of tire and then you can see inside ant their will be a little box with two studs and wires on each post that is your 30 amp breaker

check the ignition switch wiring, located under the dash panel connected to the electrical portion of the ignition switch not the key switch. my best guess is wires burnt.

SOURCE: 2003 dodge caravan won't start

My 2003 dodge caravan would not start after driving about 1/2 hour. I stopped for coffee and when got back in to start it started I switched gears and it stalled. I tried to start again switched gears then it started but only for 2 sec. No clicking, no cranking sound just would not start but battery functions were great. Spent 2 days with a mechanic who could not resolve so sent to Dodge. After a day of putting wires back and checking out the problem they said it was the computer. Said that it was bad and could be replaced at no charge due to malfunction. Yes, it worked fine afterwards no more problems. They also said that some of the computers are found to be defective like this one so I hope this helps you in the right choice to have the dealer check it out if you are unable to get a computer reading and there is no obvious short in the system. Free sounded very good but as you know there is no such thing as really free as they got me for other things $350 worth. ouch!

There is a 30amp circuit breaker between the ignition switch and the starter. The charge wire from the voltage regulator goes to that same circuit breaker. There is also a 15 amp fuse in the fuse box for the ignition circuit. Double check battery cables making sure the contacts are free of corrosion. Good luck.

Need to know what kind of fuse ans amps go in my flstc 2000 dont have the diagram for the fuse box! no flasher, no brake light, no speedometer, need held ! Danielle

I do not have a schematic for model bike either but most bikes have a 30 amp Main fuse or breaker with all the other circuits being protected by 15 amp fuses or breakers.

Good Luck
Steve
