I have a 94 v6 camaro and am missing a vacuum line on the manifold. One side is connected to the brake booster hose. What goes on the other side?

The drawing you provided on another post shows one of the two connections. It is the hose that goes to the canister in the lower right corner of the drawing. Most likely the other hose goes to the Power Brake Booster. It gets a direct vacuum source from the engine as well, and it is usually directly from the intake manifold. That is not depicted on this diagram.

If it is the check valve on the brake booster, the large hose goes to a vac port on the intake manifold, the small hose goes to the cruise control servo.

Booster line will attach to back side (firewall side ) of booster chamber.

Should find a metal elbow coming out of the booster chamber that the vacuum line will slip over.

When you look at the booster chamber from the front, the location of the line should be at approx. 9 o'clock (as if looking at a clock dial)

I would check the medium sized rubber hose that goes to the brake booster from the inlet manifold as it can swell internally and prevent vacuum getting to the power booster. Replace if necessary. I would also check all those pesky little rubber vacuum hoses that are used for pollution control. They tend to go hard and split where they connect to the metal piping if they are over 10 years old, allowing air / vacuum leaks into the inlet manifold. It could also mean that the rubber diaphragm inside the brake booster has developed a leak and causing loss of power assistance.

you might be able to take it from the hose that goes to your brake booster as it is vacuum operated ,or anywhere else on the inlet manifold even if you have to drill a hole & tap a thread so as you can screw a fitting into.....hope this helps.....cheers

REMOVE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER HOSE ON THE INTAKE.BUY A SMALL PIECE OF THE SAME HOSE TO POWER BRAKE BOOSTER.PUT IN ON POWER BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM PORT AND BUY A REDUCER SO YOUR VACUUM GAUGE HOSE WILL FIT.THEN CRANK CAR UP CHECK ENGINE VACUUM.

It sounds to me like there is still a pretty good vacuum leak somewhere, and you should also check for any dis-connected or missing vacuum lines on the intake manifold, at the carburetor, and the large vacuum hose to the brake booster unit and the vacuum valve at the brake booster unit for any vacuum leaks or broken vacuum lines/hoses, and they can be hard to find because cracks in the vacuum hoses like to hide on the under-side of the vacuum lines/hoses especially the hard plastic ones. Also the carburetor could be loose or the carburetor base gasket could be damaged, the EGR valve gasket could be damaged, or the intake manifold gasket could be damaged, and these are all the most likely places to suspect a major vacuum leak.

Probably a vacuum line. Most heater controls are ran by vacuum and their is one vacuum line that goes from the troddle body to the firewall on the passenger side of the car. Check for a broken hose.

make sure the vac line is connected to the intake if so replace one way valve at booster

Injected or carb? If all emissions stuff is removed are you replacing it or just making stuff work? If usst making everything work, you need a hose from carb to vacuum advance on dist (if you have one) You can try putting the line above the throttle plate or below it and see which best suits your needs.. There is a large hose that goes to the brake power booster from the back of the carb (if power brakes, Another line goes to the vacuum system under the dash (makes heater controls operate) That line can go to a fitting on the manifold or any other full time vacuum connection on the carb base. All other connections can be blocked off.
