You do not adjust the throttle cable, you adjust the idle speed hard stop screws with a carburetor manometer hooked up to the vacuum sync port on each carb.

How do i go about sync my carborators on a suzuki rf600r 1995

Hi on top of the carbs there is four small spurs blanked off with rubber caps fit the gauges here. Start the bike and check. to adjust there is three screws Ruth springs under them on the throttle shaft. Adjust as required. Remember the carb with the cable is not adjustable. You need to get the other three to synchronise with this one.

Have a 96 Polaris XLT 600 triple it holds an idol

Sounds like you're running lean on the idle circuit. Add a little choke and see if that changes your situation. (might not even if this is your problem) if you've just cleaned the carb recently and you didn't mess with the jetting at all, I think the mixture screws are likely off. (that is assuming they are accessible and were accidentally adjusted)

Motorcycle Yamaha 2005 YZF-600s (Carbs) idle control knob & cable came unscrewed all the way out. I can't find where it goes back in, I've looked everywhere. any ideas?

hi , look closely where the 2 throttle cables fit onto the carbs, in the middle on the same bracket you will see a stop, this is the point where the throtle stops when you loose go or shut off, as the idle screw adjusts the throttle position the idea is that when closed the throttle rests on the screw instead of the middle bracket, there should also be a spring on the screw end of the cable over the thread this stops it cuming undone, any further help please feel free to contact me, paul

Carb Sync on an 01 YZF 600R

Here is a diagram showing the tubes you connect your vacuum gauges to.
http://216.37.204.203/Yamaha_OEM/YamahaMC.asp?Type=13&A=326&B=11
The YZF600R is carbureted, so I do not know what you mean by throttle body adjustments.
Synchronizing carburetors means adjusting the throttle plates (butterflies) so that all cylinders are drawing the same amount of vacuum.
Here is a diagram of the carbs. Screw #31 is the screw used to change the sync.
http://216.37.204.203/Yamaha_OEM/YamahaMC.asp?Type=13&A=326&B=13
Remember one other key point, all carbs are sync'ed to the #3 carb. You cannot change the vacuum (directly) on #3. It is usually best to start by syncing #2 to #3, then #4, then #1. Changing #2 can affect the sync on #1 so you definitely want to do 1 after 2 no matter what. If you have one cylinder WAY out of sync, that would be an exception to the previous rule where you would want to attempt to get that cylinder in the ball park of the others before fine tuning each cylinder.
Syncing the carbs is an alternating process between adjusting the vacuum then adjusting the idle. If they were out of sync, bringing them back in, or even getting close, can cause the idle to raise because the engine isn't fighting itself anymore. Always keep the engine idling @ 1100 rpm's while syncing.

Whats the best and easiest way to set the carbs on a 1990 yamaha radian yx600

Your problem is probably the sycronizing as long as you havent messed with the fuel screw or jetting. If you dont have a set of vacuum guages you can eyeball the slides in the carbs to at least get you by and you can usually get them pretty close. Find the carb that is directly linked to the cable. the other carbs are adjustable to that carb so you need to make all the other carbs identical to that one. Look at the gap from the bottom of the slide to the bottom of the bore of the carb on that base carb with the throttle at idle bike not running. With the adjustments on the linkage to the other carbs adjust the other slides to the same height as that base carb as close as you can. Measure if possible to get all the carbs as close as possible to each other. you may have to adjust the idle after. If the adjustments on the carbs are all cables, for example there is a cable to each carb directly connected to the slide just adjust each cable accordingly and achieve the same as above. make sure you have a little freeplay at the throttle when you are done. you can adjust that by the cable adjustment by the throttle which will keep all the carbs in sync
