Toro zero turn ran erratic then surging problem. Eventually it quit and won't start

Check the anti afterfire solenoid is energized while ignition switch is in the run position.

Try draining the carburetor fuel bowl. If it runs after draining fuel bowl then empty the fuel tank(s) as that will be where the water is.

Dont forget to empty the carb bowl after draining tanks. It will take a few seconds of cranking after draining the fuel bowl as the fuel pump needs to refill the carb bowl.

I bought a brand new toro 190cc and the very first time I put gas in it gas is pouring out of the air filter does anyone know why

The float needle might not be shutting off the fuel. The float needle opens and closes the float valve to allow fuel to enter the float bowl. If the float needle is damaged, the carburetor will continue to fill with fuel until it overflows. If the float needle is defective, replace it.

My toro mower keeps flooding, took off air filter and has gas dripping out the carberator, filter was soaked, Help!!

Your float in the carburetor could have sprung a leak and filled with gas keeping it at the bottom of the bowl and this would keep the needle valve open all the time or you may have just a piece of dirt stuck in the needle seat area. To try and get the needle to seat again, take a small hammer and just tap on the side of the bowl to shake the carbuator enough to jar the needle valve and dislodge the dirt holding the needle open. Your not trying to break the carburetor with a hard blow, but just enough to shake the float around.

I have a toro z150 zero turn lawnmower.. I can put gas in the carb and it will fire but will shut back off as soon as its burnt.. I took a air hose to all of the lines and getting gas past filter.

That is not a simple answer, You would need to continue the cleaning into the carburetor. Make sure your float and needle valve are not stuck. pull the bowl off the carb to see if any gas is in the bowl. if not the chances are that the float is stuck.

Toro lawnmower Wiil not start

Remove carb float bowl. Clean bowl. Observe float bowl screw, look for hole thru bolt, if present use thin wire to clean out. Float should be hanging freely and gas should be flowing, raise float gas should stop. Pinch off gas line or use shut off valve. Remove pin from float, remove float and needle meter. Use thin wire to clean out passage were meter needle is inserted, wire should pass thru to behind choke. Replace float & meter needle. Replace float bowl. Pull rope half way several times. Inspect primer bulb for cracks or leak. Try to start, may take 5 or more pulls to prime.

My toro mower will not start now after it has sat all winter

Make sure you have spark..pull plugs and roll over and look for blue spark, next smell for gas or see if plugs are wet....if they are wet its flooded with old gas which is not very combustable, remove air cleaner and put spark plugs in and spray some carb cleaner in the throat of carb and see if it fires, now if that works then you may have to check the needle and seat and the solenoid on bottum of carb if either one of these are stuck you will not get gas to the carb to run, hope this does it for you! don't forget to reply !
