No electrical cord is used for this model cameras, you will get a clipping type universal battery charger or an original Samsung charger from the market.

Check the manufacturer's site. It should tell you what you need.
That said, if you hook up the camera via USB (usually USB to micro-USB,) just like you would to transfer pictures, many times that will charge the camera as well.
Possibly the charger itself is bad and only operating as a electrical connection/power cord for your camera. Try borrowing or buying another charger or take the camera to a local camera repair center or Best Buy, etc or contact customer service for your camera's manufacturer.

The USB cable does charge the battery if plugged into pc. The red LED will light while charging and go off when the battery is charged. I cannot find any options to buy the software online but the Support email is: [email protected]
You need to contact Olympus or buy one from a site such as Ebay. Search on Ebay for your camera name and model. They vary, but should be reasonable. If you are needing to charge the batteries so often, then either the charger is not good or the batteries, one or all are weak or defective. Make sure that the menus are set for the kind of batteries you are using.
Go to the GE website, consult your manual if you still have it, go to RadioShack and see if they might have a replacement charging cord. Maybe at the GE website you can order the charging cord. Good luck.
You can find a replacement cord on eBay very cheap. Another thing to try is to buy an external charger. Just remove the battery and place it on the charger, very helpful also is to buy another battery from the same seller. You will never run out of power with a spare battery charged.
