Actually I too had the same problem when i bought the new pulsar in 2007 dec, For the first 4 months i struggled a lot because of this low pick up problem, I had given my bike for the Show room services 3 times in 4 months,Every time they will be Tighthing the cluth & applying greece over the grooves, but it does'nt worked up & my bike was reaching only 80 km(maximum) after giving the high throttle for long time... and the mileage would be 23 Km,,,But i went for the service out side the company few guys told it would be the Piston shaft problem,, few guys asked me to change the Clutch plate,,, One Mechanic Just lubricated my clutck plates(serviced it Just released the jam Clutch plates) Now 1 and half year gone it is giving the Mileage of 52 Kms,And the maximum speed 113(which I had tried).....Going smoothly....

I owns one and does better. Do an overall service which includes oil change, air filter, (spark plug if its to be) carb cleaning and reset,.(insist all these have to be done, cause these guys wont replace it unless u insist) All this will cost u not more than Rs 750/- at any station and finally if u can afford to have go for a de carbanisation and valve resetting will add up another 500. This will defnitely improve the pickup. And if u';ve still money in ur wallet go in for a K&N Air filter which will cost u another2500/- and forget about the airfilter for ur bike for ever. and feel the diff it will be a rocket

How can I properly tune the carborator for the good mileage in the Pulsar 150 DTSi ? I need to know the step by step process so that I can tune it myself. Please assist me

Hello, factory preset settings are recommended & are the best.
The engineers have tuned the bike for optimal power & economy. They have the equipment to monitor engine perimeters and exhaust emissions. This is something you don't have. I hope this helps.

Hii, this is Amit. Mine is a pulsar 150 dtsi 2006 model. It was performing good with a mileage of 55kmpl. it was then not used for six months and was lying untouched. now when i have started using it...

The black smoke could be over rich fuel , so fit a new air filter element and change the oil, in case it is contaminated with fuel from sitting

Replace battery for PULSAR Y911. how ro start it?

To restart the watch, you have to short the battery with a pin that sits under a sticker on the back of the watch. The sticker is supposed to explain that. You can usually do it with a pair of sharp scissors or tweezers. Without "jumpstarting" the watch, just installing a new battery won't start the watch. (I don't know why.)

Less pick up in my pulsar 2006 bike

a compression test could be in order-buy a clymer manual and cylinder comp kit however make sure your not neglecting maintenance-check plugs and wires/coil also inspect carbs and fuel system

Milage problem

heyiii if you are changing the handle bar..it wont create any problem other than troubling you in drive.. so when you are getting it changed make sure its fitted i such a way that the sitting posture is comfortable.. Changing the silencer won't create any problem..or rather may increase your pick up of bike because it gets more expansion with the pulsar silencer.. but ya for sure..the silencers fitted additional always tend to damage your valves of engine and reduce their life..
