Re: When warming up, my K3 GSX-R1000 red light (oil)...
I have been told this is the "dealer mode" and it might clear if you the bike off then turn the
key back to the on position, but don't start the bike, turn it off then
start the bike. this is supposed to reset the FI light.
To find out why it has brought this light up in the first place might require you actually taking it to a dealer, but there are lots of forums and info on this bike on the web

apparently, it is 'FI' not F1 and stands for Fault Identification. It is the same as the engine light on a car. A code scanner, or 'Dealer Mode' tells the fault.
Pput your bike in dealer mode (search "dealer mode"), FI Not F1, means Fault Indication. This is your ECM telling you there is something wrong. Dealer mode will give you a code, ie. C46 = EXCVA malfunction. When you get the code, we can help you, without the code it's all guess work, just like Mickking just did. If the FI goes away, put it in dealer mode and ride it around, it will most likely come back and will be displayed right there in front your face.
make sure the fan kicks on after it's been at idle long enough to get to operating temp. Also check oil level. Has the bike crashed at all? when was last service done?
blinking red light means critical error check your oil if you have oil in the motor check the sensor on the oil pan! good luck! had the same problem wire was bear making contact at bottom near oil pan good luck!
