How do I remove my mustang seat from my 2000 kawasaki vulcan 1500 classic?

On my Roadstar and my Triumph Thunderbird there is a bolt at the back of the pillion seat you remove, slid the pillion back and out then remove (2) allen head bolts from each side of the riders seat just under the edge of the seat. Slide the seat back and off. If you go to www.bikebandit.com they have a parts breakdown of most bikes and it will show the locations of the bolts and brackets. Good luck!

Replace the ignition switch 1996 Triumph Thunderbird

This should be a straight forward replacement. Unplug the color coded wires and replace the switch with a GENUINE Triumph OEM switch - it will have the correct color coded wires to reconnect.

Remove and replace starter solenoid assembly for 2002 Triumph Thunderbird 900

Hi. Unfortunately the manual for the TB 900cc is not part of my collection. I have some technical documents for TB 900 and I may have the service manual for the TB 1600.
The best manual for TB is probably the Haynes. The manual is available from the link below:

I have a 2000 Triumph Thunderbird with low miles. The last time I ran it was in Jan 2010. I turned fuel switch to on and fuel started running out. I turned off and stream stopped. I turned it on again...

I assume that this bike is carburetted. Most likely the float needle in the carburetor, (or carburetors if equipped with more than one carb), stuck when you first turned on the gas. If the gas has stopped flowing when you open the petcock, you should be OK to start it. If the problem persists, you will probably have to pull down and clean out the carb(s). Pay special attention to the needle and seat. Make sure the needle has no corrosion present, You can use Scotch-bright to clean needle and seat.

How to change centre spark plug on my thunderbird 900 is there a special plug spanner and where do i purchase one.

I recently had to change my sparks on my 2002 thunderbird. It certianly wasn't a simple case of remove fuel tank as you still get the spine of the bike blocking your path. Any standard box spanner and even the Triumph spanner failed to get enough clearance to access the plug. Short of removing the whole engine block I removed the top cover of the engine and used a shorter 5" box spanner. Fiddly job but with the tools at hand worked. Unless someone knows of any specialist bendy spanners?
