The neutral switch is to tell you its in neutral and of course stop people riding away with the stand down in gear, it automatically cuts out when the stands down in gear but wont in neutral.it will be down the bottom of the engine usually on the left hand side and have one wire going to it which goes to earth when in neutral and lights up the neutral light indicator bulb.
