There are several things that can cause a loss of spark on a ZZR1100. Check the ignition switch, the wiring harness, and the spark plug cables. Make sure the wiring harness is intact and undamaged. Also, check the spark plug gap to make sure it is set correctly. If all of these items are in good condition, then you may need to replace the spark plugs.
The best bet would be to contact you local Kawasaki dealer/importer. Most of them are more than happy to help (atleast in my country). Failing that you can; 1) Contact Kawasaki Japan and get the factory records which will tie the chassis number to the engine and the year of manufacture. 2) get a copy of the original registration details which should then tie the VIN to fame and engine numbers.
you need zzr1100/d rear wheel and all spacers, get whole wheel if poss. you also need rear shock from d or c zzr1100. this will bring bike back to ride hight. play with spacers and away you go, makes it little bit nippy.
I remember a training course a few years ago with Suzuki, they said that up to a point, as the more mdern bikes run hotter and or more efficient combustion, they could burn some oil without it actually smoking like a steam train. either you are burning it or it's going in to cooling system via head gasket, which is unlikely as a litre is a fair old lot. suggest you get your compression checked with a tester, and check all of them, look out for differences, maybe just one worn bore.
Hi ...... You need to support the bike level (front paddock stand) and undo one side pinch bolt then using the hex adapter for that side unscrew anticlockwise ..................... I cant remember whether it's a 15mm or 17mm. The front spindle is threaded both sides. Support wheel & pull spindle out. Assembly is reverse but you have to make sure speedo drive is engaged correctly prior to tightening up.
