My daughter has a 97 Polaris trail boss 250. I just cleaned the carb but I don't know what the settings are for the choke and jets. Im not getting any fuel in the cylinder now.

Check the compression and the tube that goes from the carb to the cylinder. Make sure you have no vacum leaks

hi, i have a 1987 polaris trail boss 4x4 was riding and gas was leaking from the under side front of gas tank, is there a hose from the carb there? Anyway when i noticed the gas leak we stopped and it slowly ideled down until it died and then would not start.
I have spark pulled carb and cleaned i get gas.
can you help?

carb float/needle sticking opening the carb drain will provide evidence if fuel is reaching fuel bowl, if fuel is present then i would suspect the carb is gummed up and it will need to be cleaned ( all jets/passages ) another area could be that the gas cap vent/line is plugged not allowing fuel to flow by gravity feed.

I don't have a trial boss 250 but on most 2stroke engines you should never see the top of the piston through the intake port when the carb is removed as the piston doesn't go low enough, thats by design, its the exhaust side you need to look through to see the piston top(crown), if you remove the exhaust to have a look check the condition of the piston rings while there

I would recommend not swaping the motor due to peformance differance and the money that will have to be invested it might be cheaper to buy a frame to fit it

Did u choke it ? -stroke are very cold blooded Mine(2003) needs a choke after sitting 1/2 hr at 70 degrees.

test the compression. it needs to be 90 psi or higher
