Is it trying to fire? Does it turn over on the button but fails to spark up or does pressing the button have no effect on the system? If nothing happening when you press the starter then it could be a few things. The button may be faulty, the starter relay may be faulty or the starter itself may be the problem. Make sure the fuses are all okay, all connections are secure and the battery is fully charged. Follow the positive, red cable from the battery and you should find the starter relay. With the ignition turned on, use a screwdriver and short across the 2 terminals on the relay. Do not touch the frame with the screwdriver and only try for a short time. Does the engine turn over or even start running? If it does I would suspect the relay or the starter button. If it doesn't then maybe the starter motor is at fault. This is not always the reason but in my experience it is the most common.

I HAVE A JONWAY MADNESS 125CC YY125T - 28 IT CRANKS AND CRANKS BUT WILL NOT FIRE CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN LOOK FOR IN ORDER TO GET THIS RUNNING AS IT IS MY ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORT AT THIS

i have had to repair one of these with the same problem
and the main problem with all Chinese scooters is the electrics
first thing see if you have a spark first if you have a spark
then it could be your carburetor
other than that its your electrics
what i had to do was take the scooter apart
chop all the junction blocks off the wiring loom
the match the colour codes together and solder the wires together

i know that sound a bit extreme but it makes it more reliable
but look for a spark first

Moped not starting when raining or high humidity.

on a dry day when its starting fine spray all around the spark plug with hair spray its a cheeap and easy fix it worked for my suzuki gn 125 motorcycle every few weeks it needs done but it should sort it out basically whats happening is that due to dampness the electricity must be shorting out and not throwing the full kick into the spark plug i recommend going around any electrics that sit out and spray them its a great water seal

2 year old Jonway 125cc bike cuts out and kickstart fails

check first if spark plug working you can see spark light on it upon kickstart. then proceed with the gas carburetor if gas intake working and not stuck. if no power goes to spark plug trace the source. first the cdi then the ignition coil and the voltage regulator.
