Some ignitions require a minimum amount of rpms to energize the ignition. Are you saying by turning bike over you mean kick starting or push starting it? Some more info would help

Check fuel filter and air filter, then spark plugs, not necessarily in that order.

Starter stuck on

If your starter will not stop turning over then your starter solenoid contact bar is stuck in the closed position. It should only close when you hit the starter button. With the solenoid out of the bike check the solenoid battery terminals for continuity. If there is continuity across the large terminals, replace the starter solenoid.

Dropped my bike, broke the shift shaft. How do I change that out inframe?oh, it's a 1996 Triumph Thunderbird.

you prob need to remove the clutch cover and clutch, then just slide it out and slide a new one in, best bet is spend a few bucks on a manual, sounds like an easy fix and repair manuals are priceless when you own a bike !!!

Bike won't start

hi mate make sure you have put the correct amount of oil in and to check the plugs take the plug out and put it against the engine with it still connected and turn the engine over if it sparks ok then there fine if you want to go more technical get a feeler guage and adjust the cap on the plug to the manuals requirements good luck
