on the frame it should be under driverside under door and on motor its going to be on block on bottom/side

That is your vin the frame is your vin it may have a switched power-train but the vin belongs to the frame not engine and transmission.

If the VIN ( frame number ) has 17 digits the go to the website below. Be aware that the letters "O" and I and Q are not used in the VIN. The numerals 1 and 0 are used. http://www.motoverse.com/tools/vin/kawasaki.asp Please rate my answer.

If your GMC vehicle falls within VIN Number 7J100107 and 7J128619 there is a transmission software update available. If its outside those numbers it has the most current software. Talk to your dealer

First thing I would do is check on your warrentee. Looks like there is a good chance it is covered.

Call them and ask. Have you vin number ready they probly will want it. Located on the sales slip, on back of the drivers door, on your registration card or look throught the windsheild from outside in the drivers side lower corner.
