NO theres not. i own this very same bike i have the 99 1500 drifter #0791 last 4 of vin. the only quirk with this bike is the clutch springs. they were weak but if this bike has over around 20k miles you should be good because someone else probally has replaced them, if not its a simple quick repair. but if you have to replace them just upgrade to the mean streak spring they will fit, they are a different part number but they will fit. its an hour and a half job to replace them. i have done about 10 of these in the last few years for customers. if any further questions contact me on here and we can go over this on the phone. i am a kawasaki vulcan nut. i own 2 of these bikes one being the 1500 drifter the other a 02 800 drifter.
SOURCE: how to remove the clutch from my kdx 200
The simple way to do it is borrow an electric impact gun. (1/2" drive) If you jam something in there you can damage things.
SOURCE: How do I get the clutch hub nut off in order to
You would be best getting an impact driver. Just put the right size metric socket on it then strike the end with a hammer to remove or to tighten the nut. Use it also to loosen and tighten the case screws. It is the most used tool in my shop. Sears has them as does any tool store. Just get a 3/8" drive (not the 1/2" drive) and you will make stuck screws, nuts and bolts a thing of the past.

Check the ground wire at the battery, at the negative post at the battery you'll find a smaller (black/yellow) wire, it must be plugged into the main harness, it might have become unplugged, the connections will be right close to the battery.

Good luck, these are hard to find new or used. The 600's and up are available.
Have you checked with your dealer, they have access to all parts available nationwide through the computer? There might be one sitting on a shelf somewhere. You might be able to find one from someone that is parting out a bike also---like on ebay.
