I have a 2003 suzuki gsx-r 1000. It started making a whining noise about 3 days ago. The sound increases with the rpm, also decreases with rpm. It makes the noise even in neutral. If I Rev the motor in neutral the whining continues. The sound is there when it is cold and warm. Any ideas?

Ouch, what is the mileage, has it been well serviced, thinks a engine out and strip down, pain in the ask no questions, but best way.

My 1994 GTi was doing the same thing. The car should idle a bit fast when cold, say 1500rpm, due to the auto-choke. However, 2800rpm is too high. I had a look at my throttle system and could not workout how to adjust the auto-choke idle speed seperate from the normal idle. So I reluctantly had it serviced by the agents, they cleaned out the throttle body and adjusted it. It is better, 1900rpm, but still a bit high for my liking.

Back pressure from a clogged catalytic converter can also cause this problem.

SOURCE: 2008 suzuki GSX 1000 motorcycle indicates on

FI = Fuel Injection. The FI computer is telling you that it has detected a problem and the code for that problem is "C13". Telephone your dealer and ask what that code C13 indicates is wrong. Then you can determine if you want to try the fix, i.e. "clean the air filter", or if the shop must do it, i.e. "# 3 injector is restricted".

Sounds/feels "choppy" between 6K-7K RPM

Clean carburators, most likely has gummed up jets, don't blow out the jets without removing them first and even then sometime to remove all the **** you will still have to use something like a torch tip cleaner to do a good job.
