Gas pours out of carb after shut down. Before tearing apart the carb; shut of fuel to carb; run engine till it dies out due to empty carb. Now the float is hanging and the float valve is wide open. Open fuel line, the inrushing fuel will wash away the debris that was preventing the needle valve from seating. Applies to all gasoline engines with a carb.
Rebuild carbs ! Trash in needle float not closing !
SOURCE: Attempted to start Generac Guardian 15 kw air
I work on these every day. Its either gonna be the rotor or stater, the voltage regulator, but most likely its a bad stepper motor which is the throttle motor, or control board. Thats all that could be causing that so its one of those. If its the rotor or stater thats bad it causes the generator to RPM up because it thinks its not producing enough power due to that. I had the same problem with the same one we just fixed and it was the slip rings on the end of the rotor so bad rotor.
SOURCE: The generator starts up runs for about 15 seconds and shuts down.
Check the oil pressure switch

Sounds like Generator mode switch should be "ON".
SOURCE: Generac Guardian 15 kw overspeed fault
Did you remember to set the overspeed shutdown threshold on the control board?

Its the Oil sensor just pack the oil sensor wires together with a smal screw and bolt and try starting if it starts your problem is the oil sensor they tend to go bad I have run through several myself . To avoid hassles I now have overidden the sensor but I check the oil level everytime I need to use the generator
