They put the 07 oil pump in the older bike and had a machine shop install an upper oil sending tube that was pump[ingto a bearing thatwas not geting a sufeciant amount of lube.

im unsure but arent they on the sterering stem on a metal stamp or perhaps under the gear shifter I am unsure

i have a 04 yfz 450 quad. the compression ratio like yours is extremely high. ive had my battery go bad and found that another battery other than factory would turn over the engine, but would not start. i paid the 100 dollars for the factory battery and it fired right up. because of the high compression you need a high cranking battery.

you get the impeller of from removing the complete side case ( not only the water pump cover) then you can remove the water by unlock the internal water pump shaft....replace OIL SEAL
93109-11073-00 and also OIL SEAL,SD-TYPE
93102-12321-00 just to have you're mind in piece..they are so unexpensive that you d'ont wanna take any chance for 4.00 usd.....
