Desertracerpeople post here and do not tell what kind of car it is.. really helps if we know.. if the car has a clutch mast er cylinder and it is out of fluid than YES.. thats yyour problem.. But the question is what made this happen.. A LEAK.. the leak can be a bad clutch master or a bad clutch slave cylinder or the line that connects the two.. at worst it would be a collasped clutch cover or threw out bearing.. probably a leak or bad cylinder

That just recently happened to me. If your stick wont move into any of the gears, then you need a clutch. But if you can shift into the gears but dont go anywhere, then you need a new transmission.
