The ABS light on your vehicle will self-reset, once the condition causing the light to illuminate is rectified.
Reasons for the ABS light coming on are:
- Worn brake pads;
- Worn calipers (beyond tolerance);
- Defective ABS unit;
- Low brake fluid level;
- Defective master cylinder;
- Brake fluid leak.
It is important that whatever condition is causing the ABS light to illuminate is corrected as soon as possible, as it indicates a potential hazardous condition exists with your vehicle.
