Check the spark plugs are ok and the plug caps resistance are in tolerance as they are resister caps and if they are failing they reduce thd spark power ! i had this on a kawasaki 900 once ! also how old is the fuel as after 5mths its no good as it goes off ! carbs could be dirty also another area to look at ! clean connections on coil wires ?

On start all I get is the starter relay click is the starter my problem, this is on a 2006 yamaha silverado 1100

flat battery?not charging ,fuse ? have you tried bump starting? if you have igniton lights it should have enough charge to start the engine,if you get running, get it in neutral & let tick over for a short while then switch off, then try start, if clicking still occures then replace battery.

My 2008 1100 silverado will not start all lights work it has been sitting a week

Howdy: I have a Vstar and I use a ticklier battery charger if my bike will set for a week or longer. The lights will work but just not enough juice to turn over. Once started the bike will recharde at a high idle. Be sure to only use a 1.5 to 2 amp charger. Sometimes Harbor Freight will have chargers cheap. Your battery should last 3 or more years. For a new battery go to Battery Plus. Ride safe- Doug

V star 1100 05' starting problem

Hi Bullsport,

This problem occurs on too much starter cranking i.e. the engine doesnt respond or fire up at a go.
Try to check the bike's spark plugs.
Probabley it needs a good tune up ( the bike).

Good luck.
