Check the spark on all cylinders with a spark tester to see if all have spark. If good spark on all do a compression test to see if there is a problem with one of the cylinders, i.e. burned/bent valves, hole in piston.

SOURCE: No fire to plugs

hi mate,, pretty rare 4 these babies to pack up ,,but if there is no spark,,1st thing u will have to get checked is the cdi box,, which operates the sparking system, as well as the coils,, rare that the coils pack up,, check the wires on the coils b4 u go any further,, make sure they are all secure,, and pull of the plug caps and just snip a bit of the ht wire ,,ie the big thick wire from the coil to the plug ,,snip a bit of the cap end so u can see a couple strands of copper wire in the core of the ht wire,, then replace the cap,, if all that is cool,, then its a cdi prob,, if u can see if u can borro one to try out,, any probs come back and step 2 il take u threw,, cheers

02 Toyota Tacoma when engine warms up cylinder 3 has a misfire po303

check spark plug of the cyl. switch plug with another cyl, run engine until warm to see if misfire still comes on. if it stays on the same cyl. fault could be high tension wire or coil or worse leaky valve or rings. if misfire switched to the other cyl just change plug or better replace all plugs

check spark plugs have the right gap. heated plugs that are worn will give you a misfire, also if not been changed in a few years would replace them.

When I hit a water puddle why does my truck starts to misfire its a 2001 3.9 v6 dodge dakota?

The first thing that comes to mind is you've got some spark plug wires that are in poor shape. Water getting on older plug wires can easily short them to ground. You can test this theory by starting the truck, letting it warm up, then spraying the plug wires and other ignition parts with a spray bottle filled with water. If it starts misfiring, then you know you've found the problem.

2001 PT CRUISER MISFIRE CYLINDER 2

Do you know how check the engine codes? Turn the key 3 times and the codes will be displayed where the odometer number is displayed.
If the code is 302 it is spark plug mis fire.
It could be a bad fuel injector.

2001 Pontiac Montana - what is a misfire #5?

Without your actual trouble code, I am assuming that you are have a misfire on cylinder # 5. The computer cannot really tell what is causing the misfire only that cyl 5 is not putting out full power. If it misfires when cold then smooths out as it warms up, I would say it is probably an injector that is sticky, as it warms up it starts working properly.
