Seat safety switch on cub cadet z force 50

I bought this z force 50 almost 3 years ago. after using it 50 hrs, the engine would cut off as soon as i released the parking brake or moved the motion handles.. I took off the seat safety switch and keep it pressed in with my hand and the problem is solved.. I tried a new switch and same thing happens, works only when i depress the switch.. seems once the switch as back under the seat properly,, the problem starts... Is this seat the problem ? Does ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS A RECALL ON THE SEAT ??? THERE SHOULD BE!

You could splice the wires and by pass the switch all together.

Cub cadet 44 inch 20 HP kohler engine. Dies when brake released. By passed seat switch, still does same thing.

While seat occupied, the safety relay is energized and opens the seat to PTO switch and Brake switch kill circuits.

Check the operation of the safety relay.

With engine off and key in RUN position you should hear the relay click when you sit in the seat (remove your seat switch bypass and reconnect seat switch).

My cub cadet model 12A-18M7010 will not start. It has an automatic choke. No primer. I've changed the gas, checked the plug, cleaned the carbuerator. What could it be?

Also check the air filter. Some times if the paper filter is wet or clogged it will choke out the machine by not allowing air in to the ignition chamber.

Cub cadet Z Force 48 inch zero turn blades won't engage

I hope this will help you...under the side panels on each side of the mower, there are "reverse lockout safety switches", they are supposed to stop the blades when both handles are pulled back. If one or both of the switches are out, the deck will not engage. Also, under the right side panel (when sitting on seat) there should be 3 relay switches, the one closest to the motor controls the PTO., if this is out, the PTO will not engage.
