2001 5.3V8 backfires throught throttle body won't stay running and when I give it gas it cuts off and sputters. I put seafoam in it and throttle body cleaner and it stayed running somewhat.The next day it wouldn't stay running
Has anyone checked base fuel pressure with a gauge ?

You need to get the codes read to verify,but i think your in need of coil pack or wires.

I have a 2K1 Tahoe that was doing the same thing. It wouldn't idle properly and would die at stop lights. The check engine light would come on once in a while for a few seconds. I took it to a dealer and they removed and cleaned the soot like residue and other build up from the throttle body. That fixed the problem and I haven't had any problems since then. Hope this helps.
