Not sure I follow your story.
The front and rear turn signal should blink on one side. If the tail lamps are not working, it could be a fuse or a problem with the wiring. And the tail lamps are on the same circuit as the front parking lamps.

You will need to start tracing the wiring. I have found "green" wiring in these vehicles for many electrical problems. Start at the front and work your way back.

SOURCE: need to replace the left

Check in the trunk area or the back end of the lens to see if the bulb is accessible that way.

Autozone says this about bulbs:

Bulbs used in most other lighting fixtures fit into sockets and are held in place by spring tension or mechanical force.
f19-42.gif Common type of automotive bulbs.
Bulbs are coded with numbers for replacement purposes. Bulbs with different code numbers might appear physically similar but have different wattage ratings.
There are two basic construction designs for exterior lights: those in which the lens is removed and then the bulb removed from the front, and those in which the light assembly must first be removed, then the socket from the back of the assembly, and finally the bulb from the socket.

  • Removing the lens from the latter type assembly could cause serious damage to the reflector due to dust and other contaminants.
  • Wiping the reflector surface to clean it can also seriously reduce the light's brightness. Therefore, do not remove the lens from light assemblies in which the socket and bulb are removed from the back of the assembly.
  • The bulbs are held in their sockets in a number of ways.
  • Some bulbs are simply pushed into and pulled out of their sockets, and some are screwed in and out.
  • To release a bayonet-style bulb from its socket, the bulb is pressed in and turned counterclockwise.
  • The blade-mount style is removed by pulling the bulb off the mounting tab, then turning the bulb and removing it from the retaining pin.
  • To replace a bulb, remove the bulb accordingly from its socket, and insert a new bulb.

There should two separate bulbs for marker and blinker. It sounds like a bulb is burnt out, bad ground, melted socket or a wiring anomaly. Are you certain it's supposed to have 57 series dual element bulbs for blinker and markers?

Why is the rear blinker not working

Since you haven't given much info with the question I'm going to assume that your blinker light just needs replaced. In which case, you need to remove the light cover and replace the bulb. No biggy! ;) If, when you turn on your blinker and the dash light is blinking really fast and crazy, than you know for sure that it's just the bulb that needs replaced. Hope this helps!!

My 2008 ford Escape drivers side tail light and blinker are out. Perhaps it is a fuse? where can i find the fuse box diagram?

It's probably not the fuse if it's only one side. The fuse will power both tail lights. I would check the bulb first.

Good Luck!

2008 ford f250: rear passenger brake, tail and blinker not working. the front blinker and side marker light on mirror works. dash blinker is blinking very fast

could be the tail lite housing. or the ground on the frame rail back near that location. remove the assembly till its hanging by its wires and remove the bulb. using a test lite probe the socket with the flasher on see if it blinks. if not go down under the rear of the truck and unplug the connector for both tail lites and do the same probe each connector on the harness that goes forward till your test lite starts to blink if it does there then the tail lite assembly is bad if not then repost and ill lead you further

99 mercury mystide had rear running light broken

If the driver's side tail light is working, it's not a fuse. Use a test light to check for power at the bulb holder. One terminal will be for tail light, the other for brake/turn light. If the is constant power for tail light, replace bulb. If no power, trace wiring from bulb holder to driver's side junction. Probable broken wire between the two tail lights.
