Putting a newer set of carbs to a 1984 gsx750 es

Engine rebuilt 810cc now perfect but the carbs and fuel system need replacing .
why not put newer carbs on it must be:;
easy ;to ;;get and work with and pump more out more horses
i've heard of people putting 1100 gs carbs on and
10 more hp low and mid range significant improvement any held would be
great.

    thanx for replying i've been told the standard carbs are not that good low and mid range power is below average for a 750cc 4 stroke and seeing as though the engines gold i think it's a good move thanx again for your feedback.

    Why not just re-jet the existing carbs? Low cost and easy to do.

Starts dies

Fuel lines could be collapsing from being soft, mush from ethanol in gas, possibly you have wrong carb kit, or something put together wrong, fuel lines reversed, double check everything then make sure you exhaust screen is not plugged, cause this will do same thing.

have you checked for spark? check all the leads going to the coil from the battery and from the coil to the distributor, if any are loose or faulty it will cause you to lose all power, also check the terminals.

My 1984 toyota pickup will not idle it will run

could be several things, sounds like either your carb, is bad or needs rebuilt. Or you may have some bad vacuum lines, I would check the one going to the distributor first
