The engine will fit in the frame but the head support will not bolt up. The timing is also very different on these two years. The heads would have to be switched, including the cams, so unless you are a seasoned mechanic I think you should avoid this one.

Will a 2001 suzuki sv650 motor fit in a 2005 suzuki sv650 s

There have been changes in the frame; but depending on how much effort you want to put in, you can make it fit. See if the main attachment points of the engine are in the same location.

Will a 750 motor from a 93 nighthawk fit in a 99 nighthawk 250cc cbx frame

if you get both engines side by side then measure the length , hight and width of them and the frame you will see if it will fit in the hole ! Then measure the areas where the engine mounts fit you will see if same or different and what you have to alter ! Anything is possible !!
If it fits in the hole then align temp' and see where the exhaust ports come out near the down tubes of your frame and see if it needs altering ! If frame needs stretching up , down , left or right then when adding tubes use tube inserts to strengthen !! Hope this helps to give you an idear bud ! P...

Video on replacing motor mounts on a 1999 ford escort

I have no video of the job just written instructuions.

  • Park the vehicle on level ground and shut off the engine. Raise the front end of the Escort off the ground using the floor jack. Lower the vehicle onto jack stands placed under the frame to support the car.
  • 2Place the jack under the oil pan and raise the lift plate to the bottom of the oil pan. Remove the engine mount bolt using the 1/2-inch socket wrench. The engine mount bolt is in the center of the mount fitting in clear view.
  • Slowly raise the engine using the jack until the weight of the engine is removed from the engine mount. Pull the engine mount from the fitting and place the new mount in the fitting.
  • 4Lower the engine slowly and insert the bolt into the mounting hole. Tighten the mount bolt to 67.9 foot-pounds using the torque wrench.
  • 5Remove the bolt from the other engine mount the same way as the first one. Pull the mount from the fitting and insert the new one. Replace the bolt to the center of the mount fitting. Lower the engine to the frame and tighten the mount bolt to 67.9 foot-pounds.
  • 6Remove the jack from under the Escort. Raise the car off the jack stands, remove the stands and lower the car to the ground

    Converting 996/998

ECU and harness for pretty much the same price. I'm curious to know if that engine will fit in the chassis. The different shape of the heads fitting in the frame under the airbox and the throttle bodies to airbox. From my understanding the engine mounting should be the same.It will not fit but not because of the enginemounting points, it´s because of the frame. You need a 748R or 998/996R frame to make the Testa engine fit. The problem is the cross-brace framing just behind the airbox. It´s going to be in the way. In the raceteam I´m apart off, we did a 999s engine transplant into our 748R frame and it was easy enough. We did in in a couple of days work, including using the new TB´s and building our own airbox that uses the 999 bottom part and a 748R upperpart. ,,,
