Slow aceleration Have a 93 SW1, with an aceleration problem. Slow to acelerate from a stop position. What should I look for?

My guess would be a short or problem with the printed circuit board in the cluster.

It sounds like its missing on one or more cylinders. I would check the plugs and wires if it has them.

What year? and model is it?

Go to Auto Parts Store and purchase TPS Sensor.
Only if you know that is your vehicles problem.
Codes alone, don't always tell you what is wrong, and what to replace.
Most people are starting to believe it's that simple.

check fuel supply and or filter must be clogged engine runs short of fuel supply/ check throttle body attached to the intake manifold your ISC (idle speed control sensor) or TPS (throttle position sensor) must be malfunctioning..

Change the air temperature sensor.

have you tried an engine idle relearn?

start car don't touch a thing, encluding brake. Let idle for 2 fan cycles. and see how it works from there.

I would say you have an internal transmission balance problem.

This could be a sign of a vacuum leak, especially while driving. Have your car checked to make sure everything is fine.

THis problem is caused for
Lost of correlation between ACELERATOR PEDAL POSITION
AND THROTTLE ACTUATOR MOTOR.
Because your car has no acelerator cable.
The morer probable is the Trhottle actuator motor come damaged. 90%. 10% the accelerator pedal position.
If you turn of the car it will work OK> for a few time.
But the Service engine soon. will stay on.
Yuo can go to at ANy ADVANCE AUTOPART, AUTOZONE or NAPA AUTOPART. They make a diagnostic free.
If not. I recomend get the car scanned for see exactly why the light come on. and make the right repair procedure.
